A Brief Profile

  • My first 25 years as a Maine resident were spent in the western mountains of the state, where my wife and I built a homestead, raised horses and practiced organic gardening.  I also managed a 175 acre woodlot with an eye on sustainability and habitat preservation.  
  • In the year 2000 we moved to Blue Hill and then to Penobscot to enjoy the cultural and recreational opportunities of the area.
